There’s a disabled toilet in the main reception with baby changing facilities.
If you’re a day patient on the Ambulatory Care Unit, your bed will have a personal freeview TV. If you’re a day patient on the Infusion Unit, there’s a shared TV for all patients.
If you’re staying on the Day Unit for a long period of time, you’ll be given a choice of sandwiches, snacks, tea, coffee and biscuits. Healthy options and a choice of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free, halal and kosher will also be available.
The Rehabilitation Gym hosts friendly and relaxed gym sessions under the guidance of NHS Physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Assistants. Appointments are available by referral from your Physiotherapist or GP.
Maryport Victoria Cottage Hospital is a smoke free site. This means there’s no smoking allowed anywhere on the property. This includes outside entrances and in our car parks and grounds. The smoking ban applies to everyone.
If you’re day patient, you can get a temporary nicotine replacement. You can also use e-cigarettes and vapes outside the hospital, if you stand 10 metres away from the building.
