A&E social pic.pngMembers of the A&E team at the Cumberland Infirmary are each ‘moving’ a cumulative marathon in the month of November.

Around 20 NCIC staff, nicknamed the ‘Movember Massive’ have committed themselves to the challenge of completing 26.2 miles in total throughout the month.

They have collectively decided to raise money for Cash for Kids this Christmas. CFM Cash for Kids aim to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people across Cumbria and South West Scotland who need a helping hand.

Anita Basu, Consultant in Emergency Medicine, said: “We were humbled by how generous everyone was to us when the first lockdown occurred and want to give something back! We're raising money to support CFM Cash for Kids in Cumbria and South West Scotland so they can make a real difference to the lives of local children and young people. We're aiming to each "move" a cumulative marathon over November (by running, walking, swimming, any means) and are going to be donating for each mile we move. Clearly as we are supporting such an amazing cause and need all the motivation we can get, as the weather gets worse, if anyone wants to donate please use the link below”
