Due to staffing levels we have made the decision to temporarily close the Urgent Treatment Centre at Penrith Hospital overnight on Monday 3rd February.
It will be closed from 21.00 pm and reopen at 8 am on Tuesday 4th February.
24 hour service will resume from 8am Tuesday morning.
This temporary closure will only affect walk in patients of which there are very few during these hours.
The service is open during the day as normal on each of these days, only out of hours is affected.
The trust is proactively advising the public to utilise the 111 service for urgent health advice particularly out of hours. The 111 service can advise and arrange the most appropriate help for a person’s needs. This includes an appointment with a CHOC Doctor, an ambulance to A&E or self-care. Serious or life threatening conditions should be treated at A&E and by calling 999.
We will be sharing messages across our social media channels to let people know of the closures and how to access support if they need it.
