Strengthening Families

We offer advice and support about things like:

• child development
• behaviour management
• long term health conditions
• health promotion
• parenting

We can also support your family with their emotional health and wellbeing, signposting you to other services that can provide you with specialist support.

We can also support young people in understanding the risks around drug and alcohol use, sexual health and emotional resilience.

Someone from our team will contact you to discuss how we do our health assessments. Depending on the age of your child, assessments may include:

• a review of their developmental progress
• a review of their physical health condition
• a review of their long term complex health needs
• a review of their emotional and mental health needs

Once we’ve completed our assessments we’ll work with you to create a plan and agree on what our priorities should be. This may mean we need to refer you and your child to other services for specialist support, or we may be able to do all the work with you and your child ourselves.
